Although "sequencing" becomes a more complex issue with the design of hypertext, linear portions should be organized to meet reader's psychological expectations. "Expected" sequencing plans include:
Sequencing according to convention
(e.g. alphabetic; or name- address- city- state).
Sequencing according to need for use.
Sequencing according to frequency of use.
Sequencing according to importance.
Sequencing according to chronology.
Sequencing from general to specific.
