"See & Point" Rather Than "Remember & Type"


A basic principle for focusing the allocation of short-term memory. To keep attention on the task at hand, and not on external issues, the reader should be able to:

   Recognize rather than recall

   Select actions from displayed alternatives

   Act in simple noun-verb combinations ("Me. Do this.")


It is equally important, however, that
critical tasks do not become automatic.
